Some basics about me are in order I guess. I made this a
public journal after, so not everyone will know who it is
they are reading about. Save my name (cause I'm a wuss)
everything else goes like this...
Born and raised in New Jersey. Wantage, New Jersey,
specifically. If you look that up on a map, its the top NW
corner of the state. Not much there except trees,
mountains, and farms. That's right, I'm a country bumpkin.
With an attitude, if you believe the stereotypes about NJ.
You be the judge on if this Jerseyan is an obnoxious ass
or not. I personally tend to think I flunctuate.
High School is where it starts to matter. I went to a
Catholic school in Sparta, NJ. I actually did pretty well there. Except grammar. I suck
at that. As I look back, half my sentences are fragments.
But since I'm not handing this in for a grade, guess who
gets to suffer. My strongpoint is history. Especially
English history.
I played ice hockey and lacrosse in high school. Played
Hockey for 10 years. Then I was cut my senior year from
the team. Since a senior couldn't play JV, and I wasn't
good enough for JV, good bye me. Coach said I didn't have
a mind for the game. He might have had a point, but
getting beat out by freshman has kept the stick out of my
hands for years so by now I probably do really play
miserably. I still skate with the best though. Lacrosse
was another matter. I played my first year of LAX my
freshman year of highschool, which incidentally was the
first year the school had a team. I was on varsity by
junior year. Our school had a winning record my senior
year. Funny how things like that work.
Besides sports I was also on the yearbook staff and
mock trial. So if I say I know my way around the
courtroom, its not for some incident that I never wrote
about. I don't get caught.
I attended Providence College for four years. I earned a Bachelors in Political Science, but during the time I spent there I discovered that the political or corporate career that I had been working toward were not for me. I got depressed at the thought of spending 30+ years behind a desk. It might be the American Dream to hold down a good job, get paid, raise 2.5 kids, and have a little white picket fence in front of the house, but it is not my dream. So after I graduated I joined the US Navy.
So now here I am. I graduated from Boot Camp on August 25th and was moved to my next training facility in Goose Creek, SC. I have a lot of training ahead of me, but I enjoy the life I've chosen.
